About This Dog

Peanut's ideal home

Peanut is a sensitive and intelligent boy aged 1 year and 11 months old who can find meeting new people a little worrying at first. With patience, gentle introductions, and ongoing meets, he soon begins to warm up and absolutely loves affection from those he trusts. Peanut’s confidence continues to grow with positive experiences, so his new family will need to understand the importance of taking things slowly and allowing him to build trust at his own pace. He is confident and very curious when out on walks, especially alongside doggy buddies, and continued positive socialisation with dogs would really benefit him. Peanut cannot live with cats, dogs, or small furries and is looking for an adult-only home.

Could you be Peanut's perfect match?

Peanut is searching for a calm, patient, and understanding family who can commit to multiple meets at the centre to help build his confidence before adoption. He has medium energy levels and is incredibly smart, loving brain games and scent work where he can use his clever nose to sniff out hidden tasty rewards. Peanut is very people-oriented and cannot be left alone initially, as he needs reassurance that his humans are nearby, although this can gradually be built up over time to a few hours once he feels secure. His ideal adopters will be willing to give him the time, patience, and understanding he needs to truly flourish, as underneath his worries is a loving and loyal companion waiting to shine.
