About This Dog

KOA's ideal home

Koa is a handsome one year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross with a fun loving personality and so much affection to give. Although he has found kennel life a little stressful at times, he has settled in well and is now able to relax and switch off in his kennel. Out and about, Koa is a really lovely boy who enjoys exploring new environments and taking in all the exciting sights and smells with a good sniff around. He is making great progress with his handling and is happy to have his harness put on, despite being a little shy when he first arrived. Koa loves meeting new people and greets them with a wagging tail, always ready for a fuss he can get a little excited and may jump up to say hello, so continuing to reward him for keeping all four paws on the floor will help him develop lovely manners. Once settled into his new home, Koa could gradually be introduced to being left alone for short periods, building this up slowly to help him feel confident and secure.

Could you be KOA's perfect match?

Koa would make a wonderful companion for an active family who can give him the time and understanding he needs to settle in at his own pace. He could live with secondary school aged children who are confident around bouncy, excitable dogs and understand his enthusiastic nature. Koa would also be happy living with another dog that enjoys a similar playful style and is tolerant of his sometimes over the top playfulness. He could potentially live with cats, but introductions would need to be managed carefully and at a gentle pace to allow a positive relationship to develop. Koa is one of the friendliest boys you'll meet he adores both people and other dogs, thrives on affection, and has so much love to give. With patient adopters who understand that he can occasionally feel a little shy or overwhelmed, Koa is sure to blossom into a fantastic and devoted family companion.
