About This Dog for Adoption

Tommy's ideal home

Tommy is less than a year old and full of energy and mischief! He really likes people but is still working on his manners, particularly when he gets excited. As Tommy can be quite puppy mouthy and over-the-top he’s looking for a family without young children to set him up for success. Older teenagers who are happy and confident around this would be fine though. Tommy is really looking for a family that will get stuck in with his training. He’s doing really well with this in centre and is very keen to learn, he just needs dedicated owners to continue this. Tommy will need to be the only dog in the home for now but we are continuing to work on his doggy socialisation skills.

Tommy is a barrel of fun who would love to find a family willing to help him become a well-rounded adult. He’s super but does everything full-tilt and can therefore be quite full on. Tommy is really getting on amazingly with his training here but this will need to be continued. As he’s only young he’d still like a bit of a helping hand when it comes to being left and car travel. He does try really hard to keep his kennel clean though, so with access to a secure garden of his own should pick his housetraining up again in no time. Tommy is definitely a bit of a project but has so much potential and in the right home is going to make the most fun, loving companion you could wish for.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images
