Octavia's ideal home

Octavia is our adorable Staffy with a heart of gold. At 5 years old she came into our care through no fault of her own. She’s got a really good history around young children but is a bit worried with handling. For this reason she is looking for a home where the youngest children are of secondary school age. Octavia has been a bit unsure when mixing with other dogs here. She’s no trouble at all, but will want to be the only dog in the home.

Octavia is a gentle sweetheart who is eager to get back into a home. She can be left for a couple of hours once settled and is already fully housetrained, so any family will already be off to an excellent start! Octavia also seems quite happy in and around the car, though we’re not sure what she’s like when travelling. With a family that understand her sensitive side she’s sure to blossom into a loyal companion.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images
