About This Dog for Adoption

Moo's ideal home

Marvellous Moo is a sweet, chatty girl who would like a family to provide snuggles. She can be quite worried for more formal handling though, and as we have no history of her around children she’s not going to be one to live with young kids. Secondary school age children would be fine though, as long as they can give her space when she needs it. Moo came into our care with Mary after they were found as strays. She’s very unsure about any other dogs though, so needs to be the only dog in the home. A secure garden will be essential for her as she also gets worried by traffic so will really benefit from the outdoor space all of her own.

Could you be Moo's perfect match?

Moo is around 2 years old and came into our care from another charity after being found as a stray. She’s a fabulous little lady who does understandably have some worries in life after this experience. We’re not sure how much she’s experienced of the world or if she’s ever lived in a home, so things like housetraining, car travel and time left alone will all need to be introduced from scratch. While she’s getting the hang of things she’ll appreciate snuggles on the sofa and some tasty treats.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
