About This Dog for Adoption

Dave's ideal home

Dave is an energetic, cheeky chap who is excited to bounce into his new home! He is very bouncy but is able to live with children of around secondary school age who are happy with this. Dave can be a bit full-on when he first meets a new dog, but soon settles down and enjoys off-lead playtime. With the right match he would be able to live with another dog, pending a successful meet at the centre prior to adoption.

Could you be Dave's perfect match?

At less than a year old Dave has found himself in our care as he struggled with being left home alone, loudly protesting the lack of company! He would suit a family where there is someone at home all the time to start off with, so this can be worked on very slowly at a pace he is comfortable with. Dave is a really quick learner who is already picking up training in centre, but a patient and dedicated approach will still be needed. As he's only a youngster he'll appreciate a helping with hand with things like car travel and housetraining. If you're looking for a happy, cheeky boy and are able to give him the time and training he needs then he could be your perfect match!

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
