About This Dog for Adoption

Skylar's ideal home

Skylar is a sweet and lively girl who can live with children who are over the age of 10 and confident around her bouncy nature. She has been sharing her kennel nicely with a friend for company so we see no reason why she couldn't live with another well matched dog, however she cannot live with any cats. She is house trained but doesn't like to be left for too long so will need a family who can be around a lot of the day to work on building up her leaving hours gradually.

Could you be Skylar's perfect match?

At just over a year old Skylar is still just an excitable young pup who comes with bags of energy so is looking for a family who can offer her the active lifestyle she requires. She has settled well into kennels and always greets her carers with 100% enthusiasm! Sky has loved exploring all the new spaces on site with her nose to the ground but likes to do so at speed, so will need her new family to be able to work on some loose lead training. If you can keep this busy lady still for long enough then she will show you her cuddle monster side, leaning in for maximum snuggles. We believe that Skylar has been used to travelling, and was more than happy to jump into our vehicles, so could be a fantastic addition to an active family who like to get out and about exploring on nice long walks keeping her both physically and mentally busy.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
