About This Dog for Adoption

Rosie's ideal home

Rosie can live with children over the age of 14 and will need someone at home with her most of the day as she isn't used to spending time alone. She also needs to be the only dog at home as she is very inexperienced with other dogs.

Could you be Rosie's perfect match?

Rosie hasn't seen much of life and is very excited by what she's discovered in our care. She just loves cuddles and gets very giddy when she meets people, but often jumps up at them, so we're encouraging her to keep her paws on the floor when saying hello. Rosie isn't used to walking on a lead and harness but she has done very well getting used to it, although she can't quite get to grips with getting to the end of it! She came from a multi dog household where she wasn't getting walked and although she gets along with the dogs she has lived with, she lacks social skills and often approached them inappropriately. She means no harm, she just introduces herself quite rudely in an attempt to be friends! Rosie can walk calmly after a controlled introduction but she will need to be the only dog at home for now. Her adopters will need to be willing to work on some slow and controlled hellos with appropriate potential friends that Rosie can learn from. She is a super young dog with bags of energy and she will be just wonderful in the right hands.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
