About This Dog for Adoption

Ted's ideal home

Ted can live with children over the age of 10 and although he can't live with other dogs he can walk with quiet ones. He is house trained and can be left alone for a few hours once he has settled. Ted has some minor skin issues around his face that required daily medicated wipes.

Could you be Ted's perfect match?

Little Ted is a laid back older chap who loves to meet people and does his best to charm them into stroking him. He really enjoys human company and greets his foster carers excitedly, even when they've only been out for 15 minutes! He's nine years old and still an active little terrier, he waits patiently whilst his lead and harness are put on and walks beautifully. Outside the home, Ted quite enjoys walking with other dogs, he likes the company of those who don't really bother him but he has less patience with he more boisterous types! Sadly he cannot live with another dogs as he will not share toys or resting spaces, but some inoffensive walking chums would be welcomed. Despite being a more mature gent, Ted has plenty life left in him yet and is going to make a wonderful little companion for someone.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
