Nellie's ideal home

Nellie can live with children over the age of 14 but will need to be the only pet at home. We have no history for Nell and cannot guarantee that she is house trained or used to spending time home alone.

Nellie is just bursting with energy and enthusiasm for life! She came to us as a stray and has been fairly settled in her kennel, happily watching all the centre activities going on from her prime spot. Nellie loves to have fun and for her, that starts as soo n as we enter her kennel! She can be a handful to get settled into her harness and lead and we have begun some basic training with her to calm her down.. Nellie is happy to explore her surroundings but she tries to take in all the information all at the same time, so is often highly stimulated when on her walks. She is a very friendly dog and tends to greet folks with her paws, so we're teaching her that "four on the floor" is considered more polite. Nellie is friendly towards other dogs also but she is full on when meeting them too, often resulting in others not wanting to have anything to do with her. We're hoping that once Nellie is home and settled and has had some good foundation training, she will be in a better position to have doggy friends. There is definitely potential for her to even live with another dog in the future but she needs to get a good handle on those social skills first!
