About This Dog for Adoption

Ange's ideal home

If you are the kind of person who talks to dogs like they are family, who leads with kindness, and has room on the sofa for a sensitive snuggle-bug, then Ange could be your perfect match. This sweet 3-year-old Staffy is full of love but needs a calm, understanding home to help her feel safe and secure.

Ange is gentle, affectionate, and would happily curl up in your lap for a cuddle if you let her. She has been friendly towards visitors and will usually come over for fuss in her own time. However, loud noises, sudden movements or overhandling can overwhelm her.. She needs someone who will go at her pace and offer gentle reassurance.

Ange is used to children and could live with dog-savvy kids aged 11 and up. Ange must be the only dog in the home although she can have friends out and about. She has lived with cats and could share her home with a friendly feline if they are gentle and respectful of her space. A private garden is a must, so she has somewhere peaceful to explore and potter about. A very quiet communal garden may be considered if it is directly attached and very low traffic.

Could you be Ange's perfect match?

Ange’s ideal home is a calm, loving environment where she is given plenty of time to settle and explore at her own speed. She is housetrained, travels well in the car, and knows a few basics like sit and paw. She is not that into toys or treats when she is feeling unsure, but when she is relaxed, she will have a gentle play with her favourite rubber toys or gently accept a tasty snack—meaty treats are her favourite!

Out and about, walks can sometimes feel scary for her—especially if something unexpected happens. She is slowly learning that the world is not so frightening, but she will need to stay on lead in public while her confidence grows. She is curious and likes a good sniff about, often checking in with you to make sure everything is okay. She dislikes thunderstorms or fireworks, so she will need extra comfort during noisy weather.

Once settled in her new home, Ange can be left for short periods—she is used to being left for around an hour. She is currently on medication for her skin which we can give give any potential adopters more information about.

If you are after a gentle companion who just wants to feel safe and loved, Ange will be forever grateful for a quiet spot on your sofa—and your heart.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
