Kaley
20 hoursKaley's ideal home
Kaley is a 7-year-old Crossbreed who loves to play! This wonderful girl is on the lookout for a family who can offer her plenty of love, time, and encouragement as she continues her weight loss journey and learns the ropes of home life. She is a friendly, bouncy companion who thrives on fuss, cuddles, and – most of all – her toys!
Kaley could live with confident, dog-savvy children aged 10 and over, though there is potential for younger ages with careful parental management, as she can be boisterous and likes to jump up when excited. She may enjoy the company of another well-matched dog in the home, but it is not essential. She cannot live with cats or small furries. As we have no home history for Kaley, any time she is left alone will need to be introduced gradually once she has settled. A secure garden would be ideal to give her space to play and explore, but this is not a requirement for the right home.
Could you be Kaley's perfect match?
If you are after a cheerful, toy-loving companion who will brighten your days with her playful energy and affectionate nature, Kaley might just be the one. Despite being a little older, she is full of life and loves staying active – especially when toys and favourite people are involved. She adores being brushed, enjoys cuddles, and will often greet you with a toy in her mouth, ready to play or share.
Kaley has shown herself to be friendly with everyone she has met at the centre and is happiest when she is out exploring or spending quality time with people. We have no history of her being housetrained at home so her new family will need to be prepared to help her establish good habits once she is comfortable in her new home. She knows ‘sit’ and takes her treats gently, though she may not always eat straight away. She is very food and toy motivated, which will be helpful for future training.
Kaley can find the kennel environment stressful, especially when it is noisy, but she relaxes well after an activity or when the surroundings are calm. She is good for handling and vet checks with familiar people and has tolerated examinations well, especially when treats are involved.
Kaley will suit a home where she is not left alone for long, and where she will get plenty of attention, cuddles, and opportunities to play. With the right support and lots of love, she will be an incredibly rewarding and fun companion.
