Tilly
6 weeksTilly's ideal home
Meet Tilly – a sweet and spirited girl who is ready to steal your heart and your lap! This gorgeous six-year-old Saluki cross Staffy is full of love and enthusiasm for life, and would fit beautifully into a busy, active home and join your family adventures.
Tilly could live with children of any age, including under-fives, although her bouncy nature means young ones will need a bit of help managing her enthusiasm. She could potentially live with another dog, pending successful introductions. She would need a cat-free home.
Tilly would love someone around for most of the day initially to help her settle in and give her lots of attention and company. If you have time for cuddles, playtime, and exploring the big wide world together, happy-go-lucky Tilly might be your perfect match.
Could you be Tilly's perfect match?
Tilly is the definition of a people dog – she is affectionate, playful, and convinced that she is the perfect size to be a lapdog. She absolutely adores fuss, will happily push her head under your hand for strokes.
Out and about, she is curious, friendly with new faces, travels quietly in the car and walks nicely on the lead.
Tilly loves to play, whether that is sharing toys with visiting children, having a run around the garden, or heading off for a good sniffy adventure. She is a bright spark who will thrive with a bit of fun training and mental stimulation. She is housetrained, good with traffic, and has even tolerated baths and nail trims like a pro.
While her cheeky side means she might indulge in a spot of bin raiding or counter surfing if left to her own devices, with a family who can channel her enthusiasm and give her lots to do, Tilly is going to make a wonderful, lively addition to her forever home.
This dog is currently being rehomed under our Home Stay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Home Stay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
