About This Dog for Adoption

Margie's ideal home

Margie is looking for a fun and engaging home with adopters who will take her on adventures and walks, who will play with and train her. She can live with children aged 16 and over who are used to a bouncy dog that can be excitable and clumsy, and can give her space to rest when needed. Margie can be a little insecure meeting new dogs, but could live with another playful and friendly dog that lets her introduce herself at her pace, she cannot live with cats or other small furries. She would be happy with fun and playful walking buddies. Margie has a little training under her, she loves to be busy and is very foody so will concentrate for a tasty treat, she is the master of the agility equipment we have here at the centre and loves sit on top and watch the world go. She will need a refresher on her housetraining so access to a private, secure garden with high fencing is essential. Margie may be able to be left alone for up to 2-4 hours, but this should be introduced slowly once she has had time to get used to her new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so she can relax and have a snooze! Margie will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Margie's perfect match?

Happy and bubbly girl Margie is a 1 and a half year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who has a thirst for life and lots of fun. She loves a snuggle on the sofa, she particularly likes a chin scratch and will lean in for more. Margie will chase a toy, but her favourite thing to do is to zoom and bounce around with her human buddies. This foodie girl loves a treat and will take them gently from the hand. Margie is looking for her new family right now, could it be you?

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
