About This Dog

Woody's ideal home

Woody is an 8-month-old, sweet-natured and playful boy looking for an active home that can continue his training and help him grow into a well-mannered companion. As Woody came into our care as a stray, we have no history of his previous behaviour, but here at the centre he has shown himself to be very friendly and affectionate with people. He loves human attention, enjoys a fuss, and displays all the typical excitable puppy behaviours you would expect at his age. Woody is confident when meeting new people and dogs, although he can sometimes be a little over the top in his play style and may struggle to read other dogs’ body language. He would benefit from ongoing basic training to help him manage his excitement levels and learn appropriate manners.

Could you be Woody's perfect match?

Woody could potentially live with another dog(neutered if female) following successful introductions, but he cannot live with cats or small furries. Due to his bouncy and energetic nature, any children in the home should be of secondary school age and comfortable around lively dogs. He is a medium-energy boy who would love access to a secure outdoor space where he can burn off energy and enjoy playtime. Woody is a fun loving puppy who enjoys playing with toys and thrives with puzzle games, he will be an amazing addition to a family that will take him on adventures and include him in family life. Woody should be able to be left for 1–4 hours once fully settled into his new home, although this should be built up gradually. He is a fun, affectionate young dog who will thrive with patient adopters committed to giving him the guidance, exercise and love he needs.
