About This Dog for Adoption

Rocco's ideal home

Rocco is a handsome and very playful 5yr old Staffy Crossbreed who will really suit adopters who are up for a bit of a training project. He's had a pretty rough time and this has understandably left him with some anxieties around people and dogs he doesn't know. Our team have helped him make brilliant progress with his training already, but his new family will need to work with us to gradually settle him into a new life. He'll need to be the only pet in an adult only home where he'll have access to his own secure garden. He'll also need someone around all the time initially as he doesn't like being left alone. It may take some time to slowly build up any time on his own and we will happily help and support with this.

Could you be Rocco's perfect match?

Rocco is a truly awesome lad! He's full of energy and full of fun! Once he knows you you will see a very bubbly, playful and affectionate boy who adores his human friends. He's been working on his dog socialisation but this is still a work in progress that we can guide his new family through while in his home. He'll need to be walked in quiet areas initially where he won't see many other dogs, but he travels well so won't mind being driven to quieter places and he also happily wears his muzzle out and about. Rocco is currently taking medication to help with his anxieties, but we plan to wean him off these as he settles into his new home. Our Vet will discuss this in more detail with potential matches. Add Rocco to your favourites if you are looking for fab little companion and have the time and patience to help him settle in initially.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
