Kia is a gorgeous 2-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is a super sweet, friendly and affectionate girl. She is finding kennel life challenging, although she can settle, and she is always very happy to come out with her carers to explore new places. Kia loves being around people and enjoys all the fuss and attention she can get! She is happy to have her harness put on, but can become very excited, so using tasty treats to encourage her to slow down can be really helpful. Kia is friendly when meeting new people, although she can jump up for attention, so her new family will need to help her practise keeping “four paws on the floor.”
Could you be Kia's perfect match?
Kia would love an active family who can enjoy long walks and adventures with her, helping her burn off some of her Staffie energy. She could potentially live with secondary school-aged children who are confident and comfortable around an energetic dog. Kia may be able to be left for periods of time, but this will need to be introduced gradually and built up in her new home. She could potentially have walking friends who are tolerant of her, as she would benefit from further socialisation and learning appropriate play skills; her play style can currently be quite rough! Kia is a loving girl who simply wants to be with her people, have plenty of fuss and explore the world around her. With patience, consistency and positive reinforcement, Kia has the potential to make a wonderful companion.
