About This Dog

Hazel's ideal home

Hazel is a super sweet 2-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who is full of life and always ready for her next adventure. She doesn’t enjoy kennel life and is at her happiest when she is out and about, exploring the world and spending time with her handlers. Hazel is happy and keen to be clipped on for walks and loves having a good sniff and exploring her surroundings. She can become very excited and may jump up, but she is easily distracted from this. Hazel loves attention and a good fuss and is super friendly with everyone she meets. She also enjoys being groomed, although she finds this exciting too, so using tasty treats can help her slow down and make grooming a calmer experience.

Could you be Hazel's perfect match?

Hazel loves enrichment, toys and playtime, especially chasing and running around with her favourite toys. Keeping her brain busy with enrichment also helps her settle, and she would benefit from ongoing training to channel her energy and help her become a happy, well-rounded companion. Hazel could potentially live with another dog who is comfortable with her very excitable and full-on play style. She could also live with secondary school-aged children who are confident around lively dogs. Hazel may be able to stay home alone for short periods, but this will need to be built up gradually once she has settled, with enrichment to keep her occupied. An active family who enjoys getting out and about and can give Hazel plenty of mental and physical stimulation could be the perfect match for this lovely, enthusiastic girl.
