About This Dog

Maya's ideal home

Introducing Maya & Tigger, two very special souls, ideally looking for a new home together. Maya is the brown & white staffy x possible pointer, and is 4 years old, and her baby brother Tigger, who is the brindle crossbreed, approx 3 years old. They are a wonderful duo, with Maya being super friendly, playful and Tigger, is a little more reserved, he takes a little longer to warm up to you, but treats help and when he does come around, he adores you! Together, they make a special pair who would love to stay together. Any children in their new home would need to be of secondary age and above.

Could you be Maya's perfect match?

This duo have so much potential to steal the hearts of the right home, we know their perfect set up and family are out there somewhere! They may or may not have lived in a home previously, and so their new owners will need to understand that this could be worrying for them. Maya & Tigger have been around other dogs with no issues at all, but would probably best being the only pair in their new home. They love to run around the fields together, play chase and have a little tumble around, they settle lovely afterwards and are generally quite placid and lovable!

These dog's are currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
