About This Puppy

9 month old blue, Staffordshire bull terrier looking for a new family.This is a heartbreaking sale and he is only looking as we have had a family illness and unfortunately this has resulted in no time for Blake. All of my spare time is now spent caring for my mum and Blake is not getting the time he needs and deserves.Blake is a happy and healthy 9 month old boy. He is always happy to see his human come through the door, he is a very friendly boy but does forget he is solid muscle and can be a bit on the boisterous side. He loves a cuddle and wants to go and meet everyone he sees out on walks.He loves children and lives with my two 10 and 6. Again I must highlight he is a strong dog and will jump up.Blake is fully house trained and used to all household noises, he isnt a fan of the hoover.He is trained to walk on the lead although strong. I use a Halti, he can come with this. He wants to go and see everyone out on walks he is very sociable. We go once a week to a secure field and let him off the lead, he has excellent recall here. Blake loves a run on the beach and a paddle in the sea. He is chipped and up to date with all vaccines.Both parents were full staffordshire bull terrier. No paperwork and not KC registered. I have videos of parents. Blake is not neutered so could potentially go on to breed. He has beautiful markings.A home with experience of this breed would probably be best for him. He can be destructive and would thrive off a job and regular exercise. We attended puppy school and he done really well. The trainer mentioned that he needs a lot of mind activity to keep him occupied.Has his basic commands, sit, down, stay, paw. Crate TrainedWill wait for his food and is not food aggressive. He is a stunning boy who needs the best home so he can thrive.

Staffie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy without you viewing it first
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Staffie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website
  • Seller asks you to send money to a bank account with a different name to the person you have been communicating with
  • The dog/puppy is advertised significantly cheaper than similar listings
