Bruno is my rescue, he is a good boy. I have had him for 2 or so months now. I was aware of his potential destruction tendencies prior to getting him. Unfortunately, he suffers with separation anxiety and needs someone who is around throughout the day or with prior knowledge to help reduce his seperation anxiety/frustration/foraging tendencies when left alone. I was unaware about his seperation anxiety, me and the original owner was unaware of his seperational worries. He is
crate trained. He does not enjoy being left in the crate when home alone. When he came to me he was underweight, he is now at a good weight and now up-to-date with his
vaccinations. He deserves someone with time and knowledge surrounding his needs, consistent and available for him. He would benefit someone who is a home body. However - due to his breed make up, he requires walks and training to continue. He is eager to do right, with the right person. I want to keep him, however my mental health isn't in a great place for him right now, right now we feed of one another. Great for bonding, not so great for getting things settled His toileting is fairly good. However, he is known to make mistakes. Bruno is intact, and needs castrating. He probably suits someone who works from home, or with someone available and to correct him. He is safe with cats and shown no problems with my kids. He is very laidback, chilled, happy, talkative and forward. Perfect dog, my lifestyle doesn't suit him. Training we are currently doing: wait commands, positional training, come find me commands, lead boredom training, leave commands. Lead and recall training. Training to leave things he shouldn't chew. Reinforced with "yes" toys. Lead work needs some tender love, but bruno is fairly good on lead. He is friednly with all dogs, except he shows dominance and can be a little pushy, but friendly with other intact males. With the wrong intact males this could go south. Best he has training regarding this issue or placed on lead if he shows persistence and ignores warnings ️ As I have said, he is friendly. Castration may reduce this tendency. Thank you for reading.
