About This Dog for Adoption

Gunston's ideal home

Handsome lad Gunston is a 6 and a half year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who looks like a cute seal pup. He is an affectionate boy and loves a fuss, he is happiest when he is having a back scratch, he gets all wiggly and silly. He is a foodie boy and will take any treat offered, he takes them gently from the hand. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys so far, he would much rather play and bound around with his favourite humans. Gunston is ready to find his new home.

Could you be Gunston's perfect match?

Gunston is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures and give him all of the love and care he deserves. He is a friendly bean who can live with secondary school children who understand that he can be a bouncy boy and can be a little clumsy, children who can play with him nicely and will give him space to rest when he needs. Gunston can be a little worried by other dogs, he is looking to be the only pet in the home so he can have all of the attention to himself, he would be happy with polite and calm walking buddies. He has some training under his belt, he knows his name and does a lovely “sit”, “down” and paw”, he is a super smart boy and is happy to engage in training in short, sweet sessions with the help of a tasty treat. He would prefer a home with a private, secure garden for him to potter about and explore in, but this is not a necessity. Gunston can settle in the home so could be left for up to 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Gunston will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
