About This Dog for Adoption

Chelsea's ideal home

Chelsea can live with children of high school age but no other pets. She is house trained and can be left for two hours or so once she's settled in. Chelsea has itchy feet that require medicated mousse daily.

Could you be Chelsea's perfect match?

Golden girl Chelsea is on her second Dogs Trust visit as her adopter has sadly passed away. We’ve managed to get her into one of our fabulous foster homes, so she isn’t missing out on her regular cuddles and home comforts. Chelsea is taking the change in her stride but she’s definitely showing a few signs of feeling displaced so it’s important we keep up a routine for her. She’s the sweetest girl who was a huge hit with staff during her first visit, due to her outrageous charm and affectionate nature. Chelsea is 12 years old and still active, enjoying a couple of good walks a day and happily saying hello to anyone who approaches. She’s never been a fan of other dogs and that certainly hasn’t changed, so she’s best walked in areas where she’s unlikely to bump into many. Chels has been turning her nose up at dog food and we suspect she’s been spoiled by her previous owner and had been sharing his meals! It is essential she has an appropriate diet, but she still enjoys a little treat which she takes very gently. Chelsea is a real gem, such a loving girl who deserves to find happiness and stability again for her twilight years.

Dogs Trust Adoption Process

Thinking of adopting through Dogs Trust? Here's what to expect before you start your application.

  • Register your interest in adoption on the Dogs Trust website - you can't apply for specific dogs directly.
  • Create an account to favourite dogs you're interested in and help the team understand your preferences.
  • Dogs Trust will match you with dogs that fit your lifestyle and home environment.
  • Some dogs listed here may already be rehomed or reserved, as updates can take time to sync.
  • If matched, you'll go through their adoption and home-check process before taking your new dog home.
