About This Dog for Adoption

Millie's ideal home

Millie can live with children of high school age but will need to be the only pet at home due to her lack of exposure to other dogs, though she is learning to walk nearby them. We believe she is house trained but we don't know if she is used to spending time alone so would advise someone is with her most of the day whilst she settles in, with solo time being built up gradually.

Could you be Millie's perfect match?

Millie has had quite the life in her three short years, having at least two litters of pups that we know of. Her last babies have now headed home after being in our care and it's her turn to find a forever family. Millie doesn't have much experience of the world and is finding things quite overwhelming. She's been inside for most of her life and isn't used to walking on a lead or dealing with other dogs. Millie is an absolute trooper who is doing her very best and is keen to investigate these exciting new places. Her new family must understand that she has a lot to learn yet and to be patient with her. Millie has bonded well with her primary carers and she loves to have company and be made a fuss of, happily nestling herself into your lap and settling down for a while. A great thing we've discovered is that she absolutely LOVES toys! She will give you a nudge and then the fetch must begin, she'd go all day if we had the energy to match hers! Millie has been an excellent mum but has had very little exposure to dogs other than the father of her babies. She does show some interest in meeting them but lacks the skills and confidence to interact, and this is something her adopters should be willing to work on with her, gradually and appropriately.
