About This Dog for Adoption

Shelby's ideal home

Meet Shelby - a gorgeous 3 year old GSD x looking for her forever home. Shelby could live with a tolerant, resident dog in the home, pending a successful meet here in the centre. Shelby would be best suited in a home where all children are 11yrs+ and comfortable around big, bouncy breeds. Shelby is an energetic young girl who loves to be out and about, sniffing and playing! She can struggle with calm greetings with new people and dogs, so this would need some work moving forward. She loves playing with her toys, especially a good tug of war with her people. Shelby is a high exercise dog, so would be looking for an active family that will be looking to take her for fun adventures and keep her mind and body enriched. On lead, Shelby does pull and can be strong, so would need a family that is confident with stronger dogs and that are happy to help her out a bit with this. She loves her food, so this is a fantastic aid in her training.

Could you be Shelby's perfect match?

We are unsure if Shelby has ever been left alone before, so she will need time in the home built up slowly as for her to get used to this. - she can be vocal in kennels when she is left. Shelby tries her best to keep her kennel clean, so may just need some reminding in the home with her toilet training. Shelby loves her sniffy walks and enjoys engaging with her environment. Shelby can jump up when she says hello, but she is super friendly with everyone she meets and will be an absolute joy to have in the home.
