Mae's ideal home

Meet Mae – the sweetest little Staffie with a huge heart and plenty of love to give. Found as a stray before entering our care, we haven’t got any information on her history, but we’ve been getting to know her and learning what she needs from her new home. Like many Staffies, she explores the world with her mouth and can get a bit “mouthy” when excited, so she’s best suited to a home with confident, secondary-school-aged children or older. Tough toys and long-lasting chews help channel her enthusiasm, and although she’s friendly, sociable and enjoys making doggy friends, she’ll need to be the only pet for now. A private garden would help her settle into a good toileting routine, and her alone time will need to be built up gradually once she’s comfortable.

Mae walks beautifully on the lead, travels well in the car, and loves exploring new places—she’d make a wonderful adventure buddy. After a fun-filled day she’s just as happy to curl up beside you, and would likely be a lovely home-office companion for someone who works from home. True to her breed, she enjoys a game of tug (with a little encouragement!) and will thrive with sturdy toys, varied enrichment and plenty of affection to keep her tail wagging.
