About This Dog for Adoption
Lola's ideal home
Lola is very undersocialised and needs a home free from other pets and children under the age of 12. She is house trained but may need a refresher after a short stay in kennels. She's also going to need all of her basic training.
Could you be Lola's perfect match?
Lola has had rather a sheltered life having only left on the house on one or two occasions since she was born. She has had a lot to deal with in a short time arriving in our care, and the best thing we can do for her is get her into a home where a loving family can support her. Lola arrived with two sisters but had never met dogs outside of the home previously, and she barks at those she sees simply because she is unsure of their intentions. She shows some interest in saying hello but doesn't know how to behave appropriately. We're introducing Lola to some calm dogs her and her owners would help her by doing the same once she has settled in. Lola is not shy about seeking a fuss when she wants one! She'll plonk her bum as close to you as she can and will lean on you if you stop stroking her. her new family will need to be with her almost al of the day initially; due to a lack of stimulation previously, Lola would chew on household items and furniture. If she's given appropriate things to chew on and toys to play with in her new home this behaviour should subside quickly, but she shouldn't be punished for doing it, just guided onto something appropriate and given lots of praise for moving away, she doesn't know any different. With the support of a loving family that wants to help her build her confidence, Lola has all the potential in the world to be a regular dog that can put any previous problems far behind her.
