About This Dog for Adoption

Kieron's ideal home

Kieron is a gentle older boy at nearly 14 years old and is looking for a calm and peaceful home where he can enjoy his golden years. He came into our care through no fault of his own and has found kennel life a little overwhelming. With time, patience, and kindness, he’s formed lovely bonds with his carers, discovered the joy of gentle walks, and even made a few relaxed doggy friends to stroll alongside.

Kieron would prefer to be the only dog in his new home, as he values having his own space, though he’s happy to meet polite canine companions on walks. He has previously lived with a cat, so with slow and careful introductions, we believe he could do so again.

This sweet boy was housetrained in his last home and keeps his kennel very clean. He’s also been content spending 4–5 hours alone, though we’d recommend gradually building this back up once he’s settled into home life.

As a sensitive soul, Kieron can find too much handling overwhelming. To help him feel safe and comfortable during vet visits, he’s learning to wear a muzzle with lots of positive encouragement. Because of his quiet nature, Kieron would be happiest in a calm household with children aged 16+ who will understand when he needs his own time to relax.

Could you be Kieron's perfect match?

Kieron is an older boy and is currently on medication to help keep him comfortable. This will need to continued in his forever home and our team at the centre would be happy to discuss his needs with any potential adopters. If you're looking for a calm, gentle companion who will enjoy gentle potters and afternoon snoozes, Kieron could be your pawfect match!
