Cavan's ideal home

Aged approximately 1.5 years old, Cavan is a gorgeous chap, who originally entered our care after being found as a stray. Due to a lack of information on his background, as well as his energetic nature that can be boisterous at times, we feel Cavan would be best suited to a family with older teenagers. He is seeking a home where he can receive some guidance and structure, as well as reward-based training that will help him to thrive. Active adopters, who have plenty of time to dedicate to him, filling his life with the mental and physical stimulation that he needs, would be ideal. Cavan will need to be the only pet at home. However, he’s an eager and curious chap when it comes to meeting other dogs but can be uncertain at times. Supporting him to develop his social skills with other playful and steady dogs would be hugely beneficial, to ensure he continues to build positive associations with them. Leaving him alone at home should be built up very gradually and only once he is fully settled in.

Cavan is full of joy and has a playful, exuberant demeanour that is hard not to fall in love with! His enthusiasm for life is infectious, and he is bound to make for an excellent companion to his perfect match. Cavan dreams of a big toy box to choose from as he absolutely loves his toys, especially the soft kind, which he likes to throw around in the air! Cavan enjoys his walks and is happy to explore a variety of areas, such as residential streets, fields, woodlands, and the beach. However, he may find busy areas like town centres or high streets overwhelming due to the large crowds and is also unsure when walking next to busy traffic.
