About This Dog for Adoption

Socks's ideal home

Socks is looking for an active home with adopters who will take him on adventures and walks, who will play with and train him. He can be a little worried meeting new people so will need minimal visitors to the home initially whilst he is settling in, He can live with children aged 16 and over who can handle his bouncy, and puppy like playstyle, and who understands how to play with him and his toys. Socks likes his own space and undivided attention so would like to be the only dog in the home , he cannot live with cats or other small furries. He would be happy with fun walking buddies. Socks has a little training under his belt, he does a lovely “Sit” and “Paw”, he is keen to learn more and loves to be busy, he is very foody so will concentrate for a tasty treat. He will need housetraining so access to a private, secure garden with high fencing is needed. Socks may be able to be left alone for up to 2 hours once settled in but this should be introduced slowly once he has had time to get used to his new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so he can relax and have a snooze! Socks will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Socks's perfect match?

Busy boy Socks is a 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who is always on the go. This handsome boy loves toys, and is good at the swap and drop to switch up which toy he has. Socks likes a fuss and will approach excitably for attention, he will nudge you for more fusses. Socks can be a little hesitant meeting new people, but once he knows you he is your best friend. This delightful boy is looking for his forever home.
