About This Dog for Adoption

Captain's ideal home

Captain is the sweetest soul once he gets to know you and is affectionately nicknamed ‘Captain Cuddles’ by the team. He can be unsure of unfamiliar people until he has learnt to trust them, but once he knows you, he is your BFF and happy to give you kisses and loves to snooze on top of you too. He will make the perfect sofa buddy! Captain is looking to have direct access to his own garden with a 6ft fence, where he can bound around happily and care-free. He doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs, and can be startled by unfamiliar people, so he should be kept on a lead and muzzle whilst out and about to keep him safe and secure. Due to his reactivity to other dogs, he would benefit from rural places where he could explore and relax peacefully. Captain would prefer to have someone around for most of the day to help him adjust, but once settled he could be left for a couple of hours.

Could you be Captain's perfect match?

We are looking for an experienced owner with a quiet home to allow Captain to reach his full potential. His favourite activities include spending time with you, getting new toys and he loves his enrichment too! He is a firm favourite with staff and volunteers and will make a great companion in the right home. He has enjoyed some short time in foster and is fully house-trained and confirmed to be the perfect Netflix and Chill buddy! This older gent deserves home comforts - he is sure to make an excellent companion. As an older gent, he does have some medical that our veterinary team will happily discuss in more detail with his potential adopters.
