About This Dog for Adoption
Loki's ideal home
Meet Loki! He’s a fun, enthusiastic Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a lot of love to give. Aged just 9 months old, Loki has lived a somewhat sheltered life so far and is still learning about the world around him. At this stage of his development, it is vital that he has positive experiences when discovering new things, so working with him on reward-based training and confidence building activities will be key to his success! Loki’s perfect match would be with a patient family who can dedicate lots of time to him, and his ideal home setup would be somewhere calm and peaceful, where he can decompress after working his brain. Loki doesn’t always remember his manners and may mouth or nip when over-aroused or excited. As such, we feel he would be best suited to a home with older teenagers, who could learn about his body language and keep things calm for him. Loki is still working on his social skills around other dogs and has so far been doing well when guided by his handler. It would be beneficial to keep working with him on his socialisation, but while he is still learning, we feel that Loki would be best suited as the only pet in the household. A garden of his own is essential, so that he can practice his housetraining and have a good, off-lead burn from time to time.
Could you be Loki's perfect match?
Loki is a super bright boy, loves to learn, and is very motivated by food, all of which make him an excellent student with great potential! As well as using his brain when working on training, Loki loves to keep busy with food-based enrichment activities, such as kongs or snuffle mats. He’s also very fond of his toys and likes to participate in a game of tug with his people pals but is just as happy to play independently. He LOVES his walks and will make for an excellent adventure buddy in the daytime before he turns into a snuggle bug for the evening!
