Barney's ideal home
Barney is a bouncy boy who can't wait to meet his family. He still has a lot of puppy behaviours, including jumping up and mouthing when he gets over-excited. While we don't know if he's ever been around kids we think he'll be able to live with children of around secondary school age as long as they're happy with him! Barney would like to be the only dog in the home for now. We do think he has potential for this in the future, but he's very frustrated and needs more socialisation before he's ready. Unfortunately Barney isn't able to live with cats. A secure garden will be essential for Barney to help give him outside time without the frustration of seeing other dogs.
Could you be Barney's perfect match?
Barney is only 1 year old and was sadly found as a stray. He is a young boy who is more puppyish than his age suggests. With this in mind it would be beneficial for him to find a family willing to introduce him to the basics such as housetraining and being left alone. However he does know some basic tricks already (sit, down, paw). Travel is an unknown but he was very enthusiastic about jumping into the car so there are positive signs there.
