About This Dog for Adoption

Eros's ideal home

Eros is a sweet senior gentleman at nearly 11 years old, looking for a peaceful retirement home where he can enjoy all the comforts he deserves. Having spent most of his life in a home, he’s found kennel life a bit overwhelming, so he’d thrive in a calm and quiet environment.

He’d be best suited to a home with children aged 14 and over who can respect his preference for a slower, more relaxed pace of life.

Eros is an independent soul who enjoys gentle strolls, quiet moments, and simply watching the world go by. He’s not overly fond of too much handling and prefers a calm, hands-off approach. He’ll happily sit with his carers for a gentle bum scratch but likes to have his own space when he’s had enough.

Eros can find situations like grooming or vet visits a little stressful, so he’s currently learning to wear a muzzle to help him feel more comfortable during these times. We're currently still assessing how Eros interacts with other dogs, so he'll need to be the only pet for now however this may change as we learn more about him.

He’s previously been housetrained and was content being left at home for around 4–6 hours. As he settles into his new home, we recommend gradually building up his time alone to help him feel secure and relaxed.

Could you be Eros's perfect match?

Eros is a sweet boy who would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys the quiet life. He loves nothing more that a comfy cosy bed to curl up and snooze on. Eros does have some age related medical needs, but he isn't currently on any medication. Our team would be happy to discuss this with any potential new families.
