About This Dog for Adoption

Star's ideal home

Star by name, star by nature! This one-of-a-kind, special little girl is Star; she’s a 7 year old Shar Pei x Staffie. She came to us having not had the best start in life, but she ready to learn what love feels like and has so much to give her new home. Carer’s here have said she has the most beautiful personality – very affectionate, trusting and a ball of fun! Her favourite thing to do is go on her sniffy walks, with her nose in the ground and cuddle up on the sofa afterwards. She will seek a fuss with new people but can be worried sometimes initially so her new home will be patient, understanding and let her come to them – we’ve seen it doesn’t take long for this sweet girl to form strong bonds.

Could you be Star's perfect match?

Star can live with children aged 11 years and over, visiting children could be younger at around 8 years old if managed appropriately. She is good with quieter, relaxed dogs and has made dog friends here! But she can be worried by dogs with too much energy or not giving her space, so she cannot live with another dog. Her new home will need to support her with building up her leaving hours and should be around most of the time initially. She would ideally like a quieter home, but could cope with a reasonably busy home, she walks nicely on lead but will need some help with housetraining in her new home. Star is a special girl who’s stealing hearts amongst the team, hopefully she’ll steal the hearts of her forever home soon too!
