Rufus's ideal home

Meet our wiggly boy Rufus, who is ready and waiting to find his forever home. He loves people, but can sometimes forget his size and can be a bit over excitable and boisterous so would be best suited to a home with confident children of 11+. He loves spending time with people and already knows a few tricks, which he's happy to show off for a treat or two. Rufus has come into our care as a bit of an escape artist. He's known for zooming out of doorways and jumping fencing so will need a fully secure garden with at least 6ft fencing but his new family will need to stay with him in the garden. It would be beneficial to have either stairgates or doors in place to keep Rufus away from the front door and our training team can guide you through how to use these in his new home to help. Rufus needs to be the only pet at the moment, whilst we're still assessing his interactions with other dogs. Rufus will need help with things like housetraining and learning to walk loose lead in his new home, but as he's so clever we're sure it wont take him long! We recommend any time being left is built up gradually, leaving him with things to keep him busy.
